ETHIOPIA - 1935

" IN 1935 ...... "

cartolina
" Regards, I'll live tomorrow morning, here the ship. "   -   Luigi

 Taranto, 23rd April 1935

The old postcard, some yellowed, representing the steamboat Urania, had been posted to the family from Luigi Fagetti, (my mother's cousin) in departure from Taranto for the Italian possessions of overseas. It lay with about ten old photos, testimonies of times that were, in a small suitcase of cardboard, forgotten in the attic.
In strength in the 2nd motorized division, "Luisin" followed in Abyssinia the Italian troops as mechanic employed to the reparation of the tanks and when dismise the military uniform, definite to remain up to the beginnings of the forties in the colonial territories that Italian Oriental Africa constituted.
Since then seventy years have passed almost.
In our travel we have ran the same roads, crossed the same bridges and the same tunnels, visited and met the same ethnic people.
If the time didn't have an a little faded and ruined these old images, who could say that they are departed so so many years?
